About the Role:

Our client is searching for an experienced Actuary to join their dynamic team. As an Actuary, you will play a key role in assessing and managing financial risks, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will utilize your expertise in statistical analysis, mathematics, and financial theory to develop models and forecasts that inform investment strategies, pricing decisions, and risk management policies. The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in the field of actuarial science, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and developing predictive models to support decision-making processes.
  • Analyzing financial data and market trends to evaluate investment opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Staying abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
  • Mentoring junior team members and providing guidance on technical issues and professional development.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (FIA, FSA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in actuarial modeling, risk management, and financial analysis within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python) and actuarial tools (e.g., Prophet, AXIS) is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key trends and insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach to work.
