About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Attorney to join their legal team based in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding our client's intellectual property rights and providing strategic legal counsel to support business objectives. As an Intellectual Property Attorney, you will handle a diverse range of intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, protect, and enforce intellectual property rights, as well as provide legal guidance on licensing agreements, IP portfolio management, and litigation matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive intellectual property assessments and audits.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating intellectual property agreements, including licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, and technology transfer agreements.
  • Managing intellectual property portfolios, including trademark and patent registrations, renewals, and maintenance.
  • Providing strategic legal advice on intellectual property matters to support business initiatives and product development.
  • Monitoring and enforcing intellectual property rights, including initiating and managing infringement actions.
  • Staying abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting intellectual property rights.

About You:

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in intellectual property law.
  • Extensive experience in handling intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU intellectual property laws and regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal advice and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing intellectual property portfolios and enforcing intellectual property rights.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to legal challenges and business needs.
